Portage Description:
As Dan described, this portage is just that - one big rock, though it can be a slippery landing on the downstream side. Once down, turn left and around the rock peninsula, and there is one AWESOME campsite there. Spacious place for food preparation and camping and eating and resting, a nice landing for moving canoes and such as well as swimming, and you can get to the rock jutting out in front of the waterfall as well as the top of the falls. If the campsite is available, take it!
