Portage Description:
This little sweetheart starts with a smallish elevation gain and then merrily takes you to your destination. Actually, I almost rated it easy, but it is a quarter mile and I didn't want to sound like a jerk. It's rarely traveled so it's of course quite narrow. The put in on Neewin is nice.

Lake after portage: Neewin

Lake Description:

It may be in a PMA now, I'm not sure, if so, the campsite is gone. The campsite looked adequate, but we were merely daytripping. The water was surprisingly clear for a lake that I took to be rather shallow. I won a bet from my neighbor's teenager that I could catch a pike in three casts. That little 5 pounder was responsible for him telling me "I ruled" whenever he saw me the rest of the summer. Even though he's now in college he continues the tradition, so I have a genuine fondness for this lake.
