Portage Description:
This portage starts on an uphill climb to the top of the ridge. At the top, a trail veers off to the right. This is a hiking trail which leads to campsite on the northwest end of Caribou. Stay to the left and the portage meets with the portage from Deer to Clearwater on an old road. Stay to the right. It's a level, easy walk until it veers right down to the lake. The last 30 rods or so is a little rocky and some wet spots, but not difficult.

Lake Description:
West end of the lake is outside the boundary waters. Motors of up to 10 hp allowed in the BW section. Pretty lake with nice bluffs.
