Portage Description:
This portage is rocky and downhill going into Hamburg. Oriana Creek runs out the bottom end and is navigable under normal conditions down to another short portage. However, during a low-water level year a few years back, the creek wouldn't float a canoe and we didn't discover it until we had two canoes in the water. Had to push them down, and the muck creek bottom took me down chin deep. Pretty exhausting. Called it the "Slough Of Despondency". In normal years it's fine. Just ask before you choose it.

Lake after portage: Hamburg
Known campsites: 1
Lake Description:

Hamburg is a pretty lake that is deep. I only "know" of one campsite (because it's the one we use and we haven't ever seen anyone else on any others) We've caught monster Northerns in Hamburg and eating size walleyes. I'd guess that there ought to be Lakers there, too, but haven't caught any.
