Portage Description:
This portage is marked on the McKenzie map, 1995, with a "P" in the fall of 1990 with a higher water level I was able to make my way thru the rocks and into a small pool cutting the carry by at least 2/3.. In the spring of 2004 the water was just low enough that we had to make the full carry which starts on the left side in a good open landing. We had to cut out some dead fall to clear a way in but after that it was open all the way to Cutty lake. The path seems to become obscure at places so stay next to the stream and do not take any paths to the left. The carry has some impressive cliffs and a "bear cave" on the left as you approach Cutty lake. The landing on that side is good with a few rocks and deep water.

Lake after portage: Cutty
Known campsites: 1
Lake Description:

Cutty is a real "backwoods" lake with many points and bays. On my next trip I plan on camping.. One camp on the north end.. Rather than just passing thru.. We had good, close up, moose sighting's.
