Paddling north out of Moose Bay--just forge through the reeds, there's often no path through them. It's not far and you'll paddle out into open water just below the first rapids. The portage is to the left (west). A small occasionally used footpath that follows the river bank.

Lake Description:

The river is shallow with a few drops on the corners. The closer you get to Robinson--the shallower you get but still can paddle it.
