Portage Description:
Coming south from meeds to cross swallow, don't stop. I stopped to peek at the maps and look for the portage on the opposite shoreline and was swallowed myself. I am a native Minnesota and have fished Canada. I am well aware of mosquitoes. This area of the lakes is really bad. Look at your maps while on meeds and go like hell to Henson. Look due south from the Meeds trail and the portage is there. It is not used too much, but it is there. A wet spongy walk leads you to an elevated deck. (thank you to whoever built it)

Lake after portage: Pillsbery
Known campsites: not sure
Lake Description:

Pillsbury like other lakes in the area is fairly dark in color. It's amazing how different each lake can be. Beautiful in it's own way.
