Portage Description:
Eat your Wheaties before undertaking this portage. It has two elevation changes both of which are very steep. In many places you will need to step from rock to rock, which is not an easy task on severe up and/or down inclines. In between there are two nice knee deep bogs. There are logs that have been set along the trail to step on, but if you are as coordinated as I am you are better off just slogging straight through. There are several places that have deadfalls and/or canoe rests that sit across the trail at head height of an average person. My lovely and gracious wife and her heavy pack got turtled by one of these obstacles. Quite humorous to watch, but...

The portage is very easy to find on Seagull and there is only room for one canoe to land.

Lake after portage: Grandpa
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Grandpa is a beautiful and secluded lake. No other visitors while we were there. Well worth the hard portage. Lost a very nice sized pike from the point on the northwest campsite.
