Portage Description:
Location coming from Adams is tough, You will have a beaver dam pull over & in low water you may have to walk you canoe up the water way.

1)Aim for the large beaver hut, stay to the left

2)Follow waterway until it splits

3)Take the split to the right, they both go to beaver dams but the one to right had better footing & was an easier pull over.

4)Follow creek until 10 rod portage

5)The actual portage is easy not much to tell.

6) you will then get back on the water for a short distance before the 20 rod starts.

7) The 20 rod is longer during low water as you will have to portage all the way to Boulder.

8) Follow the bank to the right, it is a little rough going with all the rocks but worth the effort.

Lake after portage: Boulder
Known campsites: 3
Lake Description:

Boulder Lake has 3 campsites, IMHO the one closest to the portage to Cap is the best on the lake, It has a huge white pine above the tent pad & great fishing off shore.... the Island one was nice too, with alot of huge round rocks scattered about... fire wood on island site will require some effort.

Fishing for Northerns was great, we found the island on the northeast side to be a hot spot :)

Great sun sets !
