Portage Description:
The portage starts off to left side of a creek. Proceed through the swamp for about 50 yards until you come out to the creek. The creek level is held up by a beaver dam. Paddle the creek for 100 yards and you will see the portage on the left bank. The path here is very muddy for 50 yard until you come to a steep ridge. The climb is difficult when wet. Once to the top of the ridge the path becomes an easy 80 rod down hill carry. The exception is a 6’ drop at one point where it required us to lower our canoe by hand.

Lake after portage: Bentpine
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Bentpine Lake is pretty with much irregular shoreline and tall timber. We caught a few walleyes in the southern most bay.
