Portage Description:
The portage starts on the east side of the bay in Crawford. The portage starts with an uphill climb to the top of the ridge that was hit by the blowdown but the trail is clear. Then it drops back down the other side of the hill for a ways before going back up another hill up to Knife lake. Coming from Knife to Crawford the start of the portage is very hard to spot. It starts in the middle of the bay off of Knife along a straight section of shoreline that doesn't show any sign of a portage.

Lake Description:
We just passed through Crawford on a daytrip,didn't check any campsites out. Caught plenty of Northerns,Smallies and Largemouths. The north/east side of the lake looked pretty hard hit by the blowdown.
