Portage Description:
Not as easy as it looks on the Fisher map, and longer I think than 24 rods. Portage starts with an easy rocky landing, the path is rocks and roots, though flat enough. The walk is broken up by a short paddle down a narrow winding stream to a muddy landing. The next walk is longer than the 4 rods claimed by the map though not a problem.
