Portage Description:
There are two portages on the Little Pony on the way to Bootleg. On my Mackenzie Map, the first one appears to be about 80 rods. When you get to that spot on the river, don't stop! We spent an hour at that portage site trying to find the path to take. If the water is high enough as it was in 6/04, continue up the river another .25 mile to the real portage which is about 25 rods. After completing this portage, the second portage into Bootleg, also about 25 rods, is a cinch. Watch for the bald eagles fishing the river in this area.

Lake after portage: Bootleg
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Nice lake, north campsite had a tree fall/widow maker above the tent pads. Keep an eye open.
