Portage Description:
The portage from Little Shell to Lynx was not needed as we were able to walk/line our canoe through the channel between these lakes. There was some evidence of beaver activity to dam this channel, but evidently they can't keep up with the traffic of canoeists through this channel.

Lake after portage: Lynx
Known campsites: 6
Lake Description:

Lynx Lake is a medium size lake with some nice campsites on it. The water is generally clear. We stayed on the campsite on a point just before the bay that has the portage to Heritage Lake in it. This site is set above the water on an exposed rock point. The grate is set into a u-shaped rock outcropping with logs set in a bench fashion helping to block the breeze off the lake. The tent site on this spot is pretty decent with what should be good drainage if a rainstorm should occur. Plenty of Smallmouth bass were caught right from the shore of this site, however all were on the small side with 12 inches being the largest. Due to the wind conditions while we were there we didn't get much of an opportunity to fish or explore much of this lake
