Portage Description:
This beaver dam crossed my line to become a portage this year - you can't just get out on the beaver dam and lift over, you actually have to get the canoe off the river and walk it on the east side of the river. The beaver maintains it well (additional work done between our in and out over this route), and there are several nicely dropped trees to make the approach a fun exercise in rudders and draws.
