Portage Description:
This portage is a bit up and down with a lot of climbing on sideways slanting hills. With a canoe on your back it's a little difficult to see the trail a few times. The end of the portage near Hanson Lake has a switch back and a sharp slope downhill. Watch your footing. The put in at Hanson Lake required us to jump down a foot or so into the lake to get our boats into the water. The water was clear and there weren't any large rocks in the water to twist an ankle on.
