Portage Description:
One of the toughest. Hard to find off of Kiskadinna, must wade and carry 50 yards down a log choked flooded creek and over a beaver dam to start. There is an interesting boulder field to cross in an old river bed near the start that can give terrible footing. Long portage with many mud holes, hills, waist high rock ledges and open blowdown areas. Be careful not to take the wrong forks in the trail in the open areas. It seems the bears are making more defined paths through the raspberries than the canoeists. There is a very interesting rock along the way that is the size of an SUV and is in the shape of a sharks head coming out of the ground.

Lake Description:

Beautiful lake with long sloping rock into the water. The Eastern campsite is one of the best anywhere.
