Portage Description:
Did this on a daytrip, very hard portage to find from Knife lake. Back in the bay off of Knife with no visible sign of the portage from the water. Fisher Maps show the right location where the portage begins. Very seldom used portage, long but not bad. The first part of the portage runs down through the bottom of a valley then rises up to the top of the ridge that was hit by the blowdown, the trail is clear and easy across the top of the ridge then descends 50 rods down to Crawford lake.

Lake after portage: Crawford
Known campsites: not sure
Lake Description:

Crawford looks to be a very seldom used lake. Didn't really check out the sites there, just fished it on a daytrip. Crawford has nice smallies, northerns and largemouth's in it. The north side of the lake was affected by the blowdown.
