Portage Description:
Easy to land, just before Silver Falls. Some tricky rock ledges in the beginning, but then it seems pretty easy from there. The whole thing is generally down and is well traveled. The put in at Saganagons offered a couple of nice places to put in, if someone didn't leave their canoe there to go get more stuff! Some nice views of the falls are possible off to the left of the pathway near the beginning.

Lake Description:
Big lake, heavily traveled on the western half, mostly by people base-camping, those coming in from the Man Chain, or those on their way to the Falls Chain. The eastern half of the lake is little traveled because it is basically a dead end.
