Portage Description:
This portage is straightforward, downhill, but somewhat rocky. There are some nice views of the falls off to the left (west) of the portage. When approaching from the Cache Bay side, the falls are to your left. This is not a good place to take a nap, since the current, while not particularly strong, does draw you toward the falls. The outfitters mentioned that this was a popular portage for breaking legs and ankles, since people were often just starting out or day tripping and not as careful as they should be.
