Portage Description:
This is the first portage after the Baker Lake entry point. It's only about a 1/4 mile paddle from the landing. The portage in on the left side of the fast water, but because of downed trees from the 99 storm it is downstream a few yards from where it used to be. You used to be able to ride the river down on your return (depending on water level) but there are now trees blocking the river.
