Portage Description:
The portage itself is in pretty good condition. The east landing can be quite fun loading or unloading. I have done both, this end can be easily missed you have to look for the very narrow channel through the weeds on the side. This channel is only 2 feet wide at most. On both sides are those unstable floating weed masses so you most likely will have to get out and pull the boat up to the landing. Don't step in the channel it is muck as well as the more open area near the landing. Make sure to walk on the weeds. They are unstable but should support you. If you get too close you can sink chest deep.

Lake after portage: Basswood*
Known campsites: 3
Lake Description:

The back bay has 2 decent campsites. The one next to the portage and the one on the opposite side of the bay and the one on the north most island is pretty good but that most likely will be out of the way.
