Portage Description:
This portage is slightly more difficult than average. There are some relatively steep hills - some which take you up/down sheer rock faces that can be very tricky in rainy weather. Good footwear is a must on this portage (and most others in the area). Steep hills, rocks, and roots are the norm on this path. It definitely seems longer than 100 rods. My recommendation is to take some time to enjoy the beauty of this difficult portage. There is much to see if you take the time to do so... just keep an eye on the trail for rocks and other things that can trip you up!
