Portage Description:
The portage begins with an ascent over a hill and then dips down into a low area skirting the edge of a swamp. There are two mud holes both having solid bottoms. Large cedar trees are scattered along the path. The trail ascends another hill, smaller than the first, and then gradually descends to its end. I was surprised at its length as it took 45 minutes to make the round trip non stop. This is why I suggested a longer distance in comparison to 167 rods as shown on the map.

Lake after portage: Your
Known campsites: 1
Lake Description:

Your Lake has low shoreline and is lush with green vegetation in comparison to the mostly granite gray of the western Quetico. We pass numerous points and pockets along the south shoreline that have fishing appeal. We were rewarded with a sighting of a mature bull moose in the first cove down from the portage landing.
