Portage Description:
This is one of two unmarked portages on the Beartrap River between Sunday Lake and Beartrap Lake. This one is the first one north of Beartrap Lake. We did it going upstream. It is quite tight, with small trees closing in on the trail. It has several deadfalls and assorted rocks and mud. The portage is far more difficult for carrying a canoe than just for a pack carrier.

Lake after portage: Beartrap River
Known campsites: None at all
Lake Description:

There are no campsites on the Beartrap River. The river is attractive, with boggy stretches and others that have steep hills on each side. The area burned at some point and you can see the regrowth.
