Portage Description:
This portage sees considerable traffic, as it is part of the "Bear Loop" series of lakes. Ensign itself has acquired the nickname of Grand Central Station Ensign, and that nickname alone should clue you in to how much traffic these two lakes receive. The portage itself is unremarkable, yet a little bit "buggy." Make sure to brush up on your portage etiquette - there is a liklihood that you'll need to use it on this route between Ensign and Thomas.
