Portage Description:
A fairly typical portage for this area portion of the BWCA. It climbs somewhat steeply above the northeast shore of Ester Lake then descends a little more gradually to the southern edge of Ashdick Lake.

Lake after portage: Ashdick
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Ashdick Lake doesn't see too many visitors from the looks of the two portages. It is a peaceful lake of about 120 acres with one campsite at the north end and the other in the shallow, southern portion. We caught smallmouth, largemouth and northern on the afternoon we passed through.
