Portage Description:
This portage is commonly known as the North Portage. Taking this route can save time in lieu of the Basswood-Burke-Sunday route. However, you pay a price. Up hill all the way with significant deep mud, even in dry weather. Consider it a primer for the long Sunday to Meadows portage.

Lake Description:

Sunday Lake is large and runs SW to NE. Therefore, after taking the North Portage, a SW wind will push you all the way to the Meadows Portage. Island campsites on your right. Decent bass fishing.
