Portage Description: Very nice, mostly flat, worn dirt track. Good beach landing at both ends. Skirts a swampy meadow on the right. Sighted moose on two separate trips.
Lake after portage: Basswood* Known campsites: not sure Lake Description: Basswood is a huge lake with usually unbroken winds from the west. About an hour paddle from here to Prairie Portage.
