Portage Description:
Burt has an arrowhead-shaped bay below the western narrows. A spit of rocky land protrudes from the west bank of the bay. The landing is south of the spit. The portage is straight, flat, and well maintained. There is no significant wet travel or dangerous footing. Both landings are very easily navigated. Travel from Paulene to Burt presents no problems of finding the landing, either. We have used this portage six times since 1982 in all kinds of weather.

Lake after portage: Paulene
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Paulette (Paulene on some maps) is a small, beautiful lake with reportedly good bass fishing. There is a good campsite on the large center island and on the north shore toward the Burt end.
