It's been thirty years. I hope to get back. To see God's creation up close, to feel, touch, taste, and smell His work...is uplifting and a powerful experience. It provided me profound reflections of my place in the universe and perspective on the whole rest of my life. "let the trees of the forest rustle with praise..."

I made two trips to Quetico in the mid-l950's before there were things like crowding, permits, etc. When we went into Quetico at Prairie Portage ranger station we were one of only a handful of groups that day. The first year we camped on an island near the north end of Kashiphiwi (June) and on the last night in camp no one was able to cast a cisco plug across the bay of our island without catching a wallege! The next year we went in July and didn't see a fish! This is a great web-site that brings back memories.

Have made 27 trips to BWCA/Quetico since the summer of 1979. It's like a second home.

Since moving to Minnesota 14 years ago from Long Island, New York; The boundry waters have become a spiritual respite for me. These days I can't imagine living in a concrete jungle as I did, forsaking the Spirit of the Wild that echoes in my Soul!

I went to the BWCA last summer (2000) with girl scouts. I was there for, hmmm, 6 days, camping and canoeing, the best time of my life!. I went to Quetico this summer (2001) for 8 days with my Venture crew. Man, it was tough, we did the B and B, and we were gonna do yum-yum but we didn't...oh-well, next year, a? Ely is the coolest town! i love it there! I hope to come back up there later. It's the most beautiful place in the world, the north woods....::sigh:: ~*Je suis un homme du Nord*~ (now i to am a North man-the boast of the voyageur)

Great web site. My congratulations. Nothing but being there can truly do these areas justice but your pictures come close. I'll return to this site many times to explore, enjoy and build enthusiasm for the next trip.

Gettin' ready to pack it in to the Man Chain in July with my two buddies in a three-man canoe. This site got me all fired up. I got no work done today! Keep up the good work!

I've been going to the boundary waters every fall for the last ten years. I have my own pictures, but it's always nice to look at others, especially when you can do it on break at work. Next spring I'm going to start solo trips in the spring. Can't wait!
