Last
Year was a good year at BWCA, so this year I am going back with
a few friends to enjoy the great fishing, loons, wolves, northern
lights, and just the whole wilderness experience. I didn't want
to leave last year. 2 nights in a row the wolves and loons gave
us a concert together. It was almost like they were trying to outdo
each other. And the more intense the northern lights became, the
more the wolves howled. We stayed on an island last year and I snorkeled
around the whole thing several times, observing the stumps under
the water and the fish hiding near the undercuts. Can't wait until
this fall. Dave |

Planning
a trip late August 06 - been planning to go for years. This site
has really helped to plan and anticipate what a great time we will
hopefully have. 4 of us are going - none of us have ever done anything
like this before. It will surely be an adventure and we can't wait
to put our trip report up for all to see. Thanks to all who contribute

I
made a previous trip through BSA Northern Canoe base two years ago.
We decided to do our own trip with my youngest son this year. We
leave in a little over 2 weeks. Great info, I will be making a new
bear rope off your design, it will be useful for all our backpacking

visited the BWCA 5 times in the late 80s and early 90s, before moving
to Seattle. Now I am back in MN, and friends and I are planning
a trip there. Your site rekindles the love I have for this place.
