Hey, Doug Clark, I truly enjoyed your solo trip account. I ahve traveled to the Quetico many times, but the walleye bite is always slow for our group. it sounds like you caught a ton of them. What is your secret, and what were your best jigs, if I may ask? We plan to be on the water (out of Nym)June 18th for eight days. We would love to eat some fresh walleyes for a dinner or two! nick ament

Dear Sir: Thank you for your supreme website and effort to maintain it. I study it often, and look forward to the day I can take at least one canoe journey to the BWCA.

A friend invited me to find out more about Quetico before he invites me to join in on a canoe trip. This looks like it is the perfect place for me.

I discovered the BWCAW in 1969. I was home from Vietnam for 30 days before returning for my second tour. I fell in love with the place. I started going into Quetico in the early 90's and haven't been back to the BWCAW much since. This summer will be my 25th or 26th trip. I prefer entering from the northern side and go primarily for the fishing.

Made my first visit to the BWCA/Quetico in August of 2005 with some close college friends. It was an amazing experience. In fact, we're already planning our trip for 2006.

From its ageless glacial rocks to its ephemeral dragonflies, Quetico stole my heart when I first canoed there in the 60s. Now I'm heading into my 11th consecutive visit this Friday, and I can't wait ... for whatever this cathedral of delights offers this year.
