This is one of the best canoe camping websites I've ever come across. And come across it I did -- in the midst of a Google search, Quiet Journey came shining forth into my life, and I now have a place I can go when I'm missing the wilderness. Which is pretty much all the time. Thank you for your hard work on the site. And thank you to all who participate in the forums; those have been especially fun.

Great web site! I wished I would have found this before my trip over Memorial Day Weekend in 2004. The weather info would have been helpful! We got stuck on Jean Lake on the worst campsite for 2.5 days! However, we made a cribbage board out of a piece of driftwood and played cards about 10 hours a day. Looking forward to another trip this next summer! Keep up the good work on the website!

I just stumbled upon your site. WOW! This is great. I was wondering if there is a way to leave a second opinion about a portage. It would be cool to get multiple opinions bame sorted by date it was travled. Possibly a rating system 1-5 each person could leave, sort of like epinions.com I know you have plenty to do without creating more work. As is this site is great! And a great guide in planning new trips. Thanks! Ted-

Avid canoeist, paddle in the Adirondacks and rivers that flow from them to the St. Lawrence River. Your area looks spectacular, maybe some day.

Nice upgrade on the site! I haven't been in here since last winter when I was planning the spring trip. The site is huge now! I like the virtual trips! I still haven't made it to the stories yet. I love reading the stories of others. I get a lot of laughs from these. I am glad to see I am not the only person who can relate to portages that seem never ending and the beautiful northern lights.

Those dreamy pictures really do liven the memories. Great photo shots, comments filled with humour and it is so easy to realize all that paradise just waiting for another trek.

I've done 5 trips into Quetico. The group I go with has changed over the years, but several of the guys have probably done 20 or more trips into Quetico since they began in the mid 70s. We're already working on a Late May/Early June '05 Trip. The combination of great canoeing, great camping, great fishing & pristine wilderness is amazing
