I've visited the BWCAW many times ... solo, tandem ... max 4 in our partys. At 51 yrs old now I'm going again with a put-in date of 9/19/04. This will be a solo trip again as there is only a hand full that I would choose as add-ons and none of them can get away for this Fall trip. Going alone is fine about 95% of the time ... probably the only anxious moments for me would be when the sun has first set and my eyes and ears are adjusting to the night. Once the adjustment is made everything is fine again. I guess there is also the concern of a accident that might be made easier if there was someone to assist but this is a risk worth taking when considering the reward of a beautiful trip filled with solitude and good fishing.

I first visited the Boundary Waters in 2000 with my fiance. We are returning this August, 2004, to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. Your virtual site captures much of the breathtaking beauty. Thank you.
