My wife, brother, a friend and I canoed BWCA in Sept. of 1998. We were in the back country for 7 days and could not have had a better time. We are avid backpackers but will be squeezing in a week in Quetico in Sept. of 2000 for some more paddling. I am building a kevlar and carbon tandem canoe in my basement this winter just for this trip.

Quetico is the kind of place that i think everyone should visit at least once in their life time. I have been going there for five years, and don't intend to stop anytime soon!!!

I just return from a 37 day canoe trip which started at french on July 8th and ended on lake superior, by fort williams after struggling through the Grand Portage. The are no words I find to describe how amazing this place of the world is. PHENOMENAL, would be my guess. I recommand this place to everyone even my worst ennemy. In 10 days I am meeting my 78 yr. "young" mother there who is returning from her 2nd. 10,000 mile driving/camping trip to the NWT & Alaska. Two years ago we spent a wonderful month camping in the Yukon & Alaska together. Some of our favorite memories are canoeing in the Everglades & Florida Bay. We are very excited about this trip; seeing new country & already knowing that it will be the first of many visits to the BWCA.

Twenty years ago, I was lucky enough to go on my first BWCA trip when someone backed out of a trip and I got layed off at the right time. I have been going ever since. Best of all, my wife loves it too! I love this website. Just what I need to get me through the winter. I am spreading the word.

Love the photo's on your site. And the the virtual cards. Have been travelling to BWCA/Quetico since 1979. Have been taking my sons since they were old enough. Completed a trans Quetico trip this past summer. Prairie Portage to Nym Lake. Awesome!

Great Site. Visited the BWCA with my son last summer. It's a long way from Florida but we're both going back, together.

Please leave your thoughts too!
